BRITISH DRAMA LEAGUE
The first annual festival of drama will be held in the Jellicoe Hall on Wednesday and Thursday next at 7.30 p.m. Drama groups from Christchurch and country districts are sending in teams to compete with one-act plays. The plays to be presented are interesting and varied, comedy, drama, and fantasy being included in the programme. Similar festivals are being held in different centres throughout New Zealand. Mr W. S. Wauchop, producer for the Wellington Repertory Society, has consented to act as judge. This is the first festival of its kind to be held in Christchurch, and already considerable interest is being shown. Doors will be open at 7 o'clock and the first play will start punctually at 7.30. Admission is 2s to all parts of the hall. There will be no bookings.
