The "Evening Post" says that for some weeks members of the Coalition party representing the urban districts have been meeting in Wellington to discuss various aspects of the Government's policy, particularly those which it is considered press severely on persons in the cities and semi-urban districts. The members concerned have not met with the idea of forming a hostile group within the Coalition, but rather in the hope that it will be possible to bring sufficient influence to bear on the Government to cause it to follow a policy which is more likely to meet with the approval of the cities. It may be expected that during the next session of Parliament strong pressure will be brought to bear on the Government to take some action to bring relief to the city electors. It is considered that in the absence of such action the Government might find itself seriously embarrassed in the event of an election. The members who are concerned in the movement do not consider the present the right time to take action that would jeopardise the Government's position in the House, but feel that they can do good service by working within the Coalition in an endeavour to improve the position of urban electors.
