__—+ MEMBERS RETURN TO CIVILISATION. r CALCUTTA, July 27. r Mr Hugh Ruttledge, the leader, ', with five members of the Everest h expedition, has arrived at Darjeel\j ing from the base camp. They were warmly welcomed. Five others, including Captain E. St. J. Birnie, are expected to-day. All are fit except Dr. W. W. McLean and Mr Wood-Johnson, who are in hospital and Captain Baraue, who has a frost-bitten foot.
