There were 8438 members of Rotary clubs and members of their families, representing 57 countries, at the annual Rotary convention held in Boston in June. It was reported that the net increase in the number of clubs for the year was 75, compared with 54 in the previous year. Among the new clubs were those in Riga (Latvia), Tangier (Morocco), Sofia (Bulgaria), increasing by three the list of countries in which the Rotary movement & established.
