HERMITAGE MEETING CONCLUDED. (.SPECIAL, TO TUE IUIF.SS.) THE HERMITAGE, July 27. Four events to-day brought to a close the Hermitage ski sports, a meeting which has been a remarkable success in every way. With brilliant sunshine and Rood snow conditions day after day, the visitors enjoyed ski-ing at its best. To-day's events were all minor ones. A slalom was added for men who did not take part in. the championship race. H. Elworthy, of the Tasman Ski Club, proved himself easily superior in the championships, winning all three big events. Mrs A. B. Edwards (Christchurch Ski Club'* won the women's championship, v/ith Miss D. Wilkins (Christchurch Ski Club) a close run-ner-up. The party returned to the Hermitage in the afternoon, and the prizes were presented by Mrs Guy Perrin. of India, at a ball in the evening. To-day's events resulted: MEN'S SLALOM RACE. L. L.
