In future, members of the City Council will be appointed na rotation monthly to act as deputymayors. A motion to this effect vfci carried at the last meeting of ti* council. At a previous meeting three councillors were nominated for the position, but as a full com*" was not present the matter was deferred for consideration. Cr. ENeale, who was chosen to act durinj the first month, states that be does not consider the new arrangement to be a practicable one and that a® will not be a party to it.
