* GOLF. The Diamond Harbour Ladies' Gob Club will play the third round for the Thomas cleck on Saturday afternoon. The Diamond Harbour Golf Club will play the second round of the GodIcy House Cup on Sunday, the draw being as follows:—W. Cleary and Miis I. Cleary v. A. G. Sinclair and Mrs D. Comer, N. Thompson and Mrs Thompson v. J. J. Gower and Mrs E. Cooper. The men's club will also play the final round for the Jackson Cup. The Lyttelton Golf Club will continue the championship rounds on Sunday. The women's match for the Patterson trophy has been postponed. A Successful Poultry Fancier. A Lyttelton poultry fancier, Mr R. Paulsen, was successful in whining the Wcstland Brewery Company's cup for the light breed, other than Leghorns, championship at the Wcstland poultry show at Hokitika last week. As Mr Paulsen won the same cup the previous year he has now won it outright. New Broadcasting Station. The new road and other earthworks for the broadcasting station to ue erected at the top of Gebbic's Pass arc now plainly visible from the upper eastern part of tho town, and a shed or other temporary building can also be* seen. When the 300-fect aerial towers are erected they will make a splendid landmark for vessels coming up the harbour.
