LOSS OF RUSSIAN STEAMER.
CAPTAIN SENTENCED TO DEATH. 'Received July 26, 5.35 p.m.) MOSCOW, July 26. The captain of the excursion steamer which sank recently was sentenced to death by shooting for permitting the overcrowding of the boat, causing the loss of 70 lives. [On July 14 a steamer carrying workers and their families, numbering 250, on an excursion, capsized on the Volga, Seventy were drowned. It was stated at the time that the steamer was overcrowded.]
