ARK OF REFUGE TENT.
Fifteen members of the Rechabite Council with visitors from suburban tents were the guests of the Ark of Refuge Tent on Wednesday evening. A motion was adopted instructing the social committee to report at next meeting on the best method' of celebra-' ting the twenty-fourth anniversary of the tent. It was decided to hold a social function on July 26, the proceeds of which will be devoted to the Benevolent Fund. Rechabite fixtures were announced as follows: July 20, Pride of Christchurch annual reunion; July 30, Church Parade at Salvation Army Baracks, Sydenham; August 2, Riccarton annual social. Responses on behalf of visitors were made by the Provincial Chief Ruler (Bro. G. Good) and P.P. Chief Rulers, Sister G. Bunt, Bros. C. H. Bascand, H. P. Smith, H. Kay, and Sisters Hull and Bell. Bro. A. B. Hassall expressed the pleasure of the local members In being honoured with the presence of so many members of the council.
