FOOTBALL.

"♦ i Jtfft ■ RUGBY. CANTERBURY UNION. CHRISTCHURCH V. OLD BOYS. A double attraction is in store for Lancaster Park Rugby patrons tomorrow when Albion and Athletic in • curtain raiser to those old rivals, Christchurch and Old Boys. Athletic is a Vastly improved side and Although at the bottom of the ladder, is a team lo be reckoned with.

Great interest is being taken in the 5S£? * of Chriatchurch and Ola Boya as they always produce sparkling Rugby when they meit on the oval. Christchurch is relying on its forwards, who are playing at the top of their form, while the rearguard' is considerably stronger than when the teams met in the first round. At the same time, they will have to be all out to defeat the Whites, whose speedy rearguard will take some watching. Christchurch has to win this game to have any chance of meeting Sydenham with the championship still at stakfc.

On the South Ground, University meet Merivale, and Old Boys and Athletic fourth grade teams occupy the West Ground.

At Rugby Park an interesting game should be seen when Sydenham, the leaders, meet Linwood, who fully extended Christchurch last week.
