NEW BRIGHTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The following notices of motion have been tabled for the meeting of the New Brighton Borough Council to be held on Monday:— By Cr. J. S. Ainsworth: "That the' clause in the report of the finance and by-laws committee, 'That the Mayor's honorarium be increased from £SO to £75 a year for the term of the present Mayor,' and which clause or recommendation was adopted by the council at its meeting on June 3, be rescinded." By Cr. J. K. Worrall: "(1) That the clause in the finance committee's report of July 3, increasing the salaries of the assistant town clerk by £26 a year and the borough • overseer by £ls a year, be rescinded." "(2) That the clause in the band committee's report recommending that| a grant of £SO be included in the estimates for additions and alterations to the band room ~be rescinded."
