SUPREME COURT BENCH.
♦ APPOINTMENT OF A NEW JUDGE. (rr.Esa association tklegeasi.) WELLINGTON, July 11. A vacancy will shortly occur on the Supreme Court Bench, owing to the retirement of Mr Justice Adams, who at present is on extended leave. It is the intention of the Government to fill the vacancy, and the question of appointing a successor is engaging the attention of the Cabinet. It is not likely that any announcement will be made until the retirement of Mr Justice Adams actually takes effect.
