The farm report was as follows: "The weather during June was very cold with an unusually large number of southerly winds. For this time of the year the soil is still dry, and team work has proceeded without any loss of time owing to wet weather. Cold conditions have retarded grass growth, althougn towards the end of the month a fair growth took place. Green feed is growing satisfactorily. Cattle and sheep are still being fed dry rations in addition to grazing, and are all doing well. Wheat and oats sown in May are through and are looking well. Fields 2, 17, and 16A for turnips, barley, and peas, have been skim-ploughed and are being worked at present. All the j mangolds have been carted and pitted. "The stud ewes, crossbred ewes, experimental ewes, and flock ewe and 'ram hoggets have been crutched. The (remaining pea straw in field 30 has been baled and sprayed with molasses for feeding to the crossbred ewes. A stack of oat straw from field 2 has been chaffed for feeding to the dairy cows. "Some black poplar trees have been felled and milled to provide timber for dray bottoms and crates. Carting mangolds, crutching, baling straw, chaff-cutting, grinding feed oats, wheat, barley, and peas, have occupied the j time of the farm hands during the [month." ONLY PLUVOL CAN DO IT. PLUVOL waterproofs, polishes, and preserves. For footwear, PLUVOL penetrates, softens, and positively waterproofs. Adds years of service to motor-hoods, harness, and sporting gear. Saves metal from rust. Only PLUVOL can do all these. You need PLUVOL—your hardware merchant has the size you want. —5
