CONCERTS AT RADIANT HALL.
The second subscription concerts of the Christchurch Harmonic Society will be given in the Radiant Hall on Thursday and Saturday of next week, July 13 and 15. Patrons of the society are asked to notice the change of .hall, and also that the society has reverted to its practice of giving two performances. On this occasion the whole programme will be taken from the popular light opera "Maritana," which has not been performed in Christchurch for some years. The solo parts have been entrusted to members of the choir, who may be relied upon to give an able presentation of Wallace's popular airs, while the bright choral work will suit the choir. Under the baton of Mr Victor Peters an outstanding presentation may be anticipated. The work will be accompanied by full orchestra and shouW have a particular attraction to those who favour the more homely melodies of a generation ago to what is known as more "modern" musics The box plan will open at Begg's on Monday next.
