CHARGE AGAINST SOLICITOR.

THEFT ALLEGED. £I4OO SAID TO BE INVOLVED. I-luddart Richard Sampson, a solicitor, appeared in the Magistrate's Court yesterday charged with the theft of £BSO on May 19, 1933, the property of Alice Anne Womerslcy. Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., was on the bench. Chief-Detective W. H. Dunlop asked i'or a remand until Tuesday, July 11. Mr J. R. Hampton, who appeared for the accused, asked that bail be allowed. Chief-Detective Dunlop said that there was no objection to bail beinn granted. The amount involved was approximately £I4OO. The accused had gone voluntarily to the police station that morning and given himself up. A remand was made accordingly and bail was allowed in the sum of £2OO, with one surety of £2OO.
