ENCOURAGING LETTER-WRITING
School children in New Zealand have for many years been encouraged to write letters to children in other parts of the British Empire, and encouragement in this letter-writing is now being offered by the Education Department. It is suggested that teachers should collect letters from their pupils and send them to the department endorsed with the age and sex of the writer, and the department will forward them to the appropriate places overseas.
