SHIPPING NOTES

The Taupata left Wellington at 12.10 a.m. yesterday for Lyttelton, and was due last night. She is to load here today for Nelson, Mapua, and Motueka. The Holmdale is to arrive here thi3 morning from Timaru, and is to sail this afternon for Wellingotn, Picton, and Wanganui. The Waipiata is to arrive here to-day from Auckland, Portland, and Wellington. She is to sail to-night for Dunedin and Bluff and is due back, via Oamaru and Timaru, on Tuesday next, when she will take in cargo for Picton and Auckland. The Storm is expected here to-mor-row from the north and will proceed to Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Gale is due at Lyttelton to-mor-rom from the south to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Totara is now to arrive here tomorrow from Timaru to load for New Plymouth. She will sail via Wellington. The Wingatui is to arrive here tomorrow from Dunedin and Timaru. She will load for Auckland. The Maui Pomare is expected here on Monday next from Apia and Niue. She is to sail the same day for Wellington. The Orepuki, due here on Thursday from Timaru, will load for Napier, Gisborne, and Tauranga, and is to sail via Wellington. The Kini is an expected arrival at Lyttelton on Sunday from Westport, via Wellington. She will discharge a part cargo of coal and is to sail for Timaru, Port Chalmers, and Bluff. The Opihi is to arrive at Lyttelton on Tuesday next from Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. She will load for Nelson and New Plymouth.

AKAROA TO LOAD.

The Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Akaroa, is due at Lyttelton from Port Chalmers on July 13, for further loading. She will proceed to Gisborne and Wellington and is to sail finally from Wellington at daybreak on July 26 for Southampton and London, via Panama. THE WAINUI. The Wainui is timed to arrive at Lyttelton on July 12 from Melbourne, via Bluff, and Dunedin. She is to sail the same day for Wellington, and will return to Lyttelton about July 15. From Lyttelton the Wainui will sail for Hobart and Melbourne, via Bluff. THE WAIHEMO. The Union Company's Pacific steamer Waihemo, is due at Lyttelton on July 16 from Wellington, to discharge cargo from Los Angeles. She is to sail later for Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. KARETU LEAVES SYDNEY. Advice has been received by the Union Company that the Karetu, from Newcastle, left Sydney at midnight on Thursday for Fiji and Auckland. THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Highlander, was scheduled to leave Montreal on Friday last for Auckland, Wellington, and Australia. She is due at Auckland about August 10.
