In the library of Acireale, near Catania, Sicily, a Roman bust found nearby has been standing on a shelf for over 200 years. No one knew whom the bust represented, but after careful inquiry the German Archaelogical Institute has identified it as a portrait of Julius Caesar. It is probably the most lifelike of all that exist.
