Y.M.C.A. STREET APPEAL.

TO THE EDITOR OP TUB PRESS. Sir,—May I, through your columns, congratulate Mr Sandall on his letter in "The Press" to-day about the street appeal for the Y.M.C.A. next Friday? It is a most understanding and sympathetic reminder to us all to do our duty then. He gives the point of view from all sides—which few people seem to consider. My family and I have been very hard hit by the recent depression—a son walking the streets for weeks unable to get anything to do—but though we have little and sometimes no money to contribute to these good causes, we can give our time cheerfully and willingly to collect (rather a thankless job), and send out favourable thoughts for a fine day and bumper collection—Yours, etc., COLLECTOR-TO-BE. July 3, 1933.
