LOCAL BODY LOAN CONVERSIONS.
TO THE EDITOR 01" 71115 I'il'isS. Sir,—l note that the Stock Exchange has offered its services to the local bodies to assist them in their loon conversions. This ivill be a good opportunity for the Stock Exchange to suggest that provision be made for the owners ol local body debentures to have the option of taking up new inscribed debentures duly registered, instead of the usital local body bonds, principal and interest payable to bearer. This option would be of great assistance to debenture holders who have no safe place to deposit valuable and easily negotiable documents.—Yours, etc SMALL BONDHOLDER. April 10, 1933. [Mr F. Graham, chairman of the Christchurch Stock Exchange, stated that while the Stock Exchange could not dictate to the local bodies it could suggest such an alteration, and it would be one of great assistance to stockbrokers also.]
