EASTER CHURCH SERVICES.
* Many city and suburban churches held special Easter musical services k:st evening. At St, Andrew's Presbyterian Church, the choir, under the conductorship of Mr J. C. McLean, sang the Passion music from Handel's "Messiah," including "Behold the Lamb of God," "Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs," "Ali We Like Sheep," "He Trusted in Gad," "Lift Up Your Heads," "Worthy is the Lamb," nnd the "Hallelujah Chorus." The soloists were Misses E. Sinclair, Marjorie Miller, and Nancy Lill, Messrs James Wilson and A, Mitchell. The choir at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church sang Stainer's "Crucifixion" as part of the evening service, the soloists being Mr E. Rogers and Mr J. I'iler. At Holy Trinity Church. Avonside, a Passion play entitled "By Thy Cross and Passion," was presented in the schoolroom at the close of the evening service. It will be presented again on Good Frida.v. Special services were heTd also at St. Barnabas Church. Fendalton. Union Methodist Church, Addington. and St. John's Church. Latimer square.
