J. STAPLES AND CO., LTD. ' THE YEAR'S OPERATIONS. [Fiiou Ouit Own Reporter.] WELLINGTON, February 8. The statement of appropriations agreed to by shareholders at the annual general meeting of J. Staples and Company, Ltd., to-day showed that the net profit resulting from the operations for the year ended December 31, 1032, amounted to £14,635 18s lid. To this had to be added the balanco brought forward from the previous year's accounts, £18,982 0s ?d, making a total oi £33, CIS 5s Gd. From this amount there was paid in August, 1932, an interim dividend of per cent absorbing £8750, leaving for appropriation a balance of £24,868 5s Gd. The diicctors recommended that there be paid a further dividend of' 2-} per cent. (£8750), making a total of 5 per cent, for the year, leaving a. balance to be carried forward to the new years accounts of £16,118 5s Cd. The'retiring director, Mr D.
