VAUDEVILLE AND REVUE,

The final performance of the vaudeville and revue company, "The Gaieties of 1983," uodor the direction of Messrs Stanley McKay and Paul Warton, will be given at St. James' Theatre this evening. That the company is popular is evidenced by the consistently large audiences which have greeted every performance by theso talented Australian artists. To-night's performance will be the twenty-third consecutive in this city—a fact which urioaks well for the quality of the entortainuient. In fact, the artists have become so popular that many will regret that the season has not been further extended. Both Amy Eochelle, whose voice is as fresh as ever, and Eene Rich, whoso violin solos have been a feature of the production, are talented performers. Fred Bluett and Wally Reynolds are comedians of outstanding merit, while others on the extensive programme are Robert Raymond (baritone), Syd. Wheeler (character comedian), Addie Ceilings,' Nancy Whitty, and The Gonnelta (tap dancers). There are in addition some very clever acrobatio ballets on the programme. ' "Parisian Night," tho farewell; revuo, will also ho staged at to-day's final matinee. ■ • Seats may bo reserved at The Bristol. Day sales aro available at St. James' confectionery.
