[THE PEESS Special Service.] DUNEDIN, February 3. Apples are \n good supply from all districts, and the market is a little easier. Bon Chretien pearg are arriving in larger quantity, and there is a fair demand. A small shipment of Samoail and Niue bananas came to hand during the week.and realised satisfactory prices. • A fairly largo _ shipment of Raroiongac bananas will arrive about the iniddlo of nest weefc/iex Monowai, which is Monday. sEhere, will be a'/small shipment of Californian navels and lemons aboard the same, steamer. Lemons continue.in short supply and high prices are ruling. Much heavier supplies of stone' fruit have been offering from Qtajro Central. Another warm spell was experienced there and growers had to forward their produce to the local market, the fruit being too ripe to carry north. Some very fine samples of prraded peaches and apricots have been arriving. Tho prices obtained were disappointing in comparison with thoso ruling last week. Jam quality peaches and apricots have been offering at low rates, and considering- the quantity, prices for crated fruit may be considered very satisfactory. Nectarines are in better supply and the market is easier. Plums are offering 1 freely and choice quality dessert lines have been bringing satisfactory prices. Peaches have been in very heavy supply with the best demand existing for Hale's. The first of thn freestone peaches came to hand during; the week. This is a sign that the early varieties of peaches are almost through. Kaspberries and loganberries continue in heavy supply, and prices remain unchanged.
