YOUNG AUSTRALIA LEAGUE.
0 BAND'S TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND. The Young Australia League's Band and Ilevuo Party, comprising 38 toys and three adults, eail 'by the Marama to-morrow from Sydney* and arrive at Auckland on Tuesday. That night, at 0 o'clock, they broadcast from 3YA, and will commence their New Zealand tour at 'lie Town Hall. Auckland, on Wednesday-, December 21st. Tho party bring with them letters of introduction and goodwill from the Governor-General of Australia to the Governor-General of the Dominion. "Writing from Sydney to tho Hon. Sir Heaton Rhodes, president of the Dominion Council of the Young Australia. League, Mr Hugh J. Ward states: "I say, as a theatrical man of iife-long experience, that I am amazed at the quality and high standard of the performance {riven hj» these boys of the Young Australia League. Their band is a revelation and has fully earned the praise of the late Philip Sousa, who, after conducting them in his famous inarch, 'Stars and Stripes Forever," said: 'lt is the finest boys' band in the world.' I have'ecen juvenile acrobats, comedians, dancers, and singers in many parts of the world, but none better than these boys of the Young Australia League. I learn -now that tliey are to travel through New Zealand to give performances in aid of hospital? and relief funds. It seems to me, therefore, that the New Zealand public, has a splendid chance of combining helpfulness to deserving causes with a splendid night's entertainment.
