The Speaker of the House of ReprcsenttUives (Mr J. N. Garner) announced on Saturday that he would recognise the motion to .suspend the rules for the vote on the resolution for the repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment on the first day of the coming session of Congress—December sth. He declared: "Both Parties hare demanded the opportunity to vote on ft, and 1 am going to let them have it."
