The Hcatheole County Council iii iu meeting last Tiighl considered the quoslion of altering the names of streets in the counly that arc duplicated in different parts of the Christchurch metropolitan area. It was decided to recommend the following alterations to the Christchurch City Council, which is interesting itself in the matter: Hoathcotc Valley: Albert street to ho Tniscott'.-.. road. Hills road to be Port Hills road. Smith street to be Marsden street. Station road, no alteration. Vogel street 1o be Kollin's street. Lee street to be ITavell street. Hillsborough:' Albert terrace, no alteration. Avnslev terrace, no alteration. Hills road to be Pert Hills road. Station road, no alteration. itiver road to be Aynsloy terrace. Bromley: Alexandria street, Carter's road, Dyers road, Victoria road, iSt. John's street, no alterations.
Cashmere: Westcnra terrace, no alteration. Carter's lane to be Lawick avenue. Dyer's Pass road, no alteration. Hawthorne avenue, to be Gwyni'n avenue. Hills road to be Port Hills road. Cashmere road, no alteration.
Avon: High street; to be Wai-iti road. Kerr's road, no alteration. Onslow street to be Ottawa road. Hiver road to be Avonside drive
Mount Pleasant: Hornibrook's road to be Major Horni brook 's road.
