BRITISH TREASURY RETURNS.
REVENUE INCREASES.
NATIONAL EXPENDITURE DOWN. (BRITISH OFFICIAL V7IEELI3S.) KUGBY, September 7. The Treasury return for the week shows that ordinary revenue amounted to £9,604,000, being about £1,200,000 better than for the same week last year, Customs and excise again contributing to the increase. On the other hand expenditure, which included dividend payments, was about £BOO,OOO more than m tho samo wee k last year. t To date the total of ordinary revenue as £235,000,000, about £1,500,000 ahead of Jast year, while expenditure for the same period is about £10,000,000 less.
