HANGIORA. About 50 members attended the meeting pi' the Mothers' Union on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs A. O. Withers, Messrs E. AV. Flower, F. S. Hunjm,- L. Shannon, and A. B. Clark, was appointed to deal with the allotment of any grant that may bo made. Dr. Withers and Mr E. W. Flower were appointed to draft a letter to be forwarded to the Dominion Council of the New Zealand Retunued Soldiers' Association. A further meeting is to be held when a reply is received. The weekly session of the Workers' Education Association was held at tho resideuco of Mr and Mrs F. S. 11. Warner. The subject under discussion was "Gladstone," the leader being Mr E. J. Watts. There was a full attendance at the monthly meeting of the Town School Committee, presided over by Mr A. W. Barker (chairman). A motion of sympathy with the rela? tives of Mrs J. Rainey was passed. It was deeided to renew posts and repair the,dividing fence, and also to plant potatoes in the spare portion of tho qehqol garden. " The headmaster (Mr F. S,' 11.
