ROUND AUSTRALIA FLIGHT.
FIRST ATTEMPT BY WOMAN. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—Br KI.rCTBIC Ti LBOBAFK—COPXBIOHT.) (Received August 19th, 5.0 p.m.) DARWIN, August 19. Mrs Bonney, the first woman aviator to attempt to fly round Australia, left Camooweal at 7 a.m. yesterday, reached Daly Waters at 1.30 p.m., passed Pine Creek at 4 p.m., and arrived at Darwin at 5.15 p.m. She had a trying flight on account of grass fires, which caused an artificial horiaon, % and difficult air conditions. Her flight has been kept secret. She is overhauling her aeroplane to-day. and leaving tomorrow for Perth, via Wyndham and Litchfield.
