Tt was this cellarer of the "Royal Monastery of St. Peter's" who gave to the world, 250 vears ago, the clear, sparkling wine for which the country around Epemay has since become world famous. The bends of the industry to which this Benedictine monk gave birth entertained s remarkably interesting gathering, .'of which cloie "pon a hundred guests had' flown over from liondoa.
