ccurse of instruction 'at the Military College of Science at Woolwich. Mr Probyn joined the 2nd Armoured Car Company, Royal Tank Corps, in 1925, and proceeded to India. In June, 1926, he'was transferred to the Indian Army Ordinance Corps, with whom he is now serving. Recently he came out of hospital at Millbank, where he had had an operation for appendicitis. On completion of his course he will spend a few months' leave in England, returning to India about the end of March, 1933.

Mr Leslie Greener, the New Zealand artist, came from Egypt in.May by way of Vienna, where he made a number of paintings along the Danube. Ho has now l taken a-studio in London, where he intends to spend two ifionths working at some pictures of Egyptian subjects. In, September he intends to drive to Tienna again by car, to Greece on the way back to Egypt, for another season's archaeological work with the Oriental Institute at Luxor.
