THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
Their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral (Lord Bledisloe) and Lady Bledisloe will visit the loan collection of antiques at the Art Gallery in Durham street this morning at 10.30 o'clock. At 11.16 they will visit the McDougall Art Gallery, accompanied by the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan. M.PJ. His Jixcelieritsy will address the Canterbury branch of the Royal liSmpire Boeiety at a formal luncheon at Bailantynes at 12.45 p.m.,. and at 6 p.m. her Excellency will visit the Y.W.O.A. buildings and see the unemployed women and girls at work there. The girl citizens will provide a guard of honour, but the visit will be informal. At 8 p.m. his Excellency will attend a lecture at the invitation of the Canterbury Officers' Club. Mr A. C. Brassington, lecturer in political science at Canterbury College, will speak on the League of Nations.
