LINWOOD SCHOOL.
The monthly meeting of the Linwood School Committee was presided over by Mr C. B. Jf. Mackie. Tho headmaster (Mr W. Roarers) reported that the attendance was still »omewhat low owing: to colds, etc.,• tho average for the month being 570 in a roll of 631 scholars. In bnskatball the A team took second place in the section, and the E team had quite a successful season. In Rugby the liffht-weight team gained third place. The Works Committer reported that good work had been done to the grounds during the past month, and that the paths to "VTestenra had been levelled and screened. The committee decided to extend the asphalt in tho primer children's playground.
