INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES.
(rasas association telegram.) WELLINGTON,. August 10. A conference between the coal miners of the West. Coast and the mine owners was held hero to-day; with a view to reaching a settlement. The miners delegates asked for the reconsideration of certain proposals. At the adjournment no statement was made. The freezing industry was also tho subject of a conference to-day b€tw fS Um employees and the companies, bat the reporters were informed that there was nothing for publication.
