TERRORIST OUTRAGES CONDEMNED.

CALCUTTA EDITOR'S ESCAPE. (BEITIBH OJTICU.I. WIBBLISS.) RUGBY, August 8. Sir Alfred Watson, editor of the "Statesman," who recently was shot at by a Bengali terrorist, has received messages from the Secretary of State for India (Sir Samuel Hoare) and the Viceroy and Lady Willingdon, and from all over the world congratulating him on his miraculous escape. At a meeting, at which all the leaders of the Indian parties spoke, the Calcutta Corporation unanimously carried a resolution condemning the outrage. At a luncheon given to the Eajah of Santosh, as president of the Indian Football Association, the Rajah expressed his earnest hope that the attacks on the servants of India would cease.
