HEIRS UNKNOWN.
INFORMATION WANTED. John Hartley, who lived in the vicinity of Longbeach, Canterbury, for it number of years before 1874, has died in the United States, leaving an estate of £4OOO, and no known heirs. His representative, John J. Dwyer, attorney at law, 40 Wall street, New York, is searching for information about Mr Hartley, and asks for particulars about him from anybody who knew him while he was in New Zealand. Mr Hartley was born in England in 1852. When he was about five years old he left England with his parents on the ship Bedjacket, arriving in Australia in the latter part of 1857. From there he went to Longbeach, Canterbury. Ap a young man he was employed by Mr John Grigg, of Longbeach. Mr Dwyer has written to Thb Press saying that, in all probability, there is someone in the vicinity of Longbeach who remembers John Hartley or his parents, and that he would like to get into communication with such a person.
