THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Blettisloe yesterday attended the Canterbury Jockey Club's Meeting at Riccarton, and, in the evening, attended the Hunt Ball -it the Winter Garden.
To-day hia Excellency will perforin the unveiling ceremony at the Cook statue in Victoria square at 11 a.m. In the afternoon he will >ttend the Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting at Addington, and, at 4.45 p.m. her Excellency will be present at a reception it Bishopscourt. In the evening their Excellencies will attend the Royal Christchurch Musical Society's performance of "Caractacus."
Their Excellencies hope to be able to -nodify their arrangements to enable them to attend the international League Test at Monica Park on Saturday. Yesterday the Vice-Regal party was joined by Mr John Daniell-Jenkins, a nephew of her Excellency. He, also, is staying at the United Service Hotel.
