GAMING SUSPECTED. C««S» AgBOCUTIOX T«*o*Jk*.) WELLINGTON, August 9. Two Chinese dwelling*, one in Taranaki street and one in Haining street, were raided this afternoon by the police. A quantity of pakapoo material was seized. Nine Europeans and five Chinese were arrested. They will ap? pear in Court to-morrow. ARRESTS IN AUCKLAND. (PRESS XSSOCIiTION TBUSOXAJC.) AUCKLAND, August 9. Police raided a Chinesa laundry suspected of being used as a gaming house and arrested one Chinese and six Europeans. Pakapoo tickets were also seised. None of the arrested men was released on bail to-night.
