LIGHT-CAR RECORD.
BRISBANE TO SYDNEY. (tXITSD FSE6B ASSOCIATION—B* BLKCMUO . TBLIOBAXH—COPTBIOHT.) (Received August 10th, 12.54 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 9. A light-ear record was established between Brisbane and Sydney the distance of 658 miles being covered at an average speed of 42} miles an hour, in 15 hours 32 minutes, beating ,the train time by eight and a half hours and the previous light-car record by seven hours. The drivers were Arthur Beaaley and Fred Connagh. They left Brisbane at.3 a.m. and reached Sydney at 6.32 p.m.
