Hammond was the best partner for H. Sutcliffe, and expressed the opinion that G. Duckworth ought to be played. The Nawab of Pataudi and W. Voce would.be helped by the fast wickets in Australia.' M. W. Tate must go, as England'St. best bowler; • E. Hendren ought to be selected because he was always good in Australia, and the remaining place should b© filled by a lefthander, either E.
