In an article published on July 21st, referring to comment at Home on the abolition of the Exchange Pool and the possible rise in the exchange rates, the London correspondent of The Press wrongly attributed to Mr Arthur Willis, secretary and London manager of tlio National Bank of New Zealand, a statement to the effect that one bank would for its own advantage force up the rates, and if the regulations were lifted the other banks would have to follow its example. Mr Willis has denied by cable that he made any such statement. ' FOREIGN EXCHANGES. (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.)
