(CONTINUED.) PLUNKET SOCIETY. WOOLSTON-LINWOOD BRANCH. Mrs H. R. Smitb presided at the monthly meeting of the Wools ton-Lin-wood branch oi the Plunkeb Society. Others present were: —Mesdames A. J. Benzie, JN. ittcCrostie, W. K.. J-.aucli-lan, J. Schute, C. G. Calvert, G. \V. •Wade, E. V. Gabites, I'. G. Clark, D. Lingard, G. 13asan, 1. liarri|, and A. Douglass. The resignation ol Miss &. Clark from the committee was received with regret. Nurse McClea's report for the month ending July 31st was as follows: Woqlston, adults 73, babies 75, new cases 2, and four visits paid. Linwood : Adults 17, babies 16, two visits paid, and one new case. Subscriptions were received from C. G. Calvert, J. Schute, M. Gregg, and C. R. Mackie. HOSPITAL LADY VISITORS' ASSOCIATION. A committee meeting of the Hospital Lady Visitors' Association was held at the hospital, Mrs E. G. Hogg presiding. Others present wero Mesdames R. Beals, P. Wynn-Williams, C. J. Ward, J. Fleming, and C. L. Mere-dith-Kayo. Misses R. Muir and L. Bowen," wnile apologies were received from Mrs Stewart and Misses Lee and Cardalc. for- the occupational work sub-com-mittee Mrs Bartrum reported that 25 patients were working. During July '24 patients had been granted one week at the Rhodes Memorial Homo and nine wero given a second week; £3 7s 6d had been spent in relief and tevernl garments were given to needy people. Accounts amounting to £46 7s were passed for payment. Mrs Hogg, president of the Association, was granted five months' leave of absence to enable her to visit Egypt and England. The meeting then adjourned for one month.
