TRAP-SHOOTING.

to ins BDiToa of thb press Sir, —I have kept pigeons as pe ts all my life, and can share the feelings stirred in any decent' pigeon fancier by the records published recently of a so-called sporting event, tho pigeon shooting championship. And this is supposed to be a civilised and decent community 1 I suppose tho Government is too busy with other matters to pass an Act prohibiting sucti atrocities. I suggest that all pigeonfanciera and their kindred associations get busy and wy to stop this birdmurder. Is it too much to ask ministers of the Gospel to attack from the pulpit a sport that disgraces civilisation! lam no "wowser." lam afraid most of the so-called sporting instincts are mine in racing, boxing, etc.; but this sickening slaughter of birds that will fly to their shoulders in quest ol food is something too much for anyone with real sporting instincts to endure.—Yours, eto., KCK(J p A . Sumner, August Stli, 1932.
