"Owing to what might be called, 'red tape,' 1 regret that 1 am unable to-flight to hand over the cheque, resulting from the recent benefit trotting meeting, in aid of the needy and distressed. v It has had to go for a ride to Wellington," said tho president (Mr T. G. Fox) at last night's annual reunion of the Canterbury Owners' and Breeders' Association. "The cheque amounts to about £1700," added Mr Fox, "and T hope to be able to hand it over very shortly."
