FORCED DOWN IN CHANNEL.
PILOTS RESCUED BY LIFEBOATS. (Received August 7th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 6. After a night of dense fog over the Channel, a leakage in the petrol tank compelled Mrs Bruce to descend in- the sea off Ventnor, Lifeboats rescued the pilots, and the amphibian machine was taken to Ooweß for repairs. Mrs Bruce will probably start again to-morrow.
