NEW ZEALAND ARTIST'S SUCCESS.
MRS A. ELIZABETH KELLY. Sir Thomas Wilford, High Commissioner for New Zealand, has written to Mrs A. Elisabeth Kelly, conveying to her the official news of the award of Honourable Mention to her work in portraiture, exhibited in the annual Paris Salon on the Societe des \rtistes Krancais. So far as is knowji, this distinction has been won by no Now Zealand' artist since it first brought into prominence the work of Mr Sydney Thompson, fifteen or twenty years ago.
