Xot satisfied with the Government's decision to close the Dunedin Training College, the chairman of the Otago Education Board wrote to Christehurch asking if the Minister for Education, the Hon. R- Masters, and the Director of Education, Mr T. B. Strong, could extend their southern visit to Dunedin in order to talk over tho whole matter with the Board. In the event of that being impracticable, the chairman asked if the Minister could receive a deputation from the Board in Christehurch today A reply was received from the Minister stating that he was unable to visit Dunedin in the meantime, and owing to pressure of other business it was impossible for him to receivo a deputation as suggested—Pbes» Service.
