THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
His Excellency tho Governor-General, Lord Bledisloo, accompanied by her Excellency Lady Bledisloo, tho Hon. Mrs Dnnicll (sister of her Excellency), Mrs G. Veal, Mr W. Bathurst, and Lieutenant J. 0. Ehvorthy, R.N., A.0.C., arrived in Christchurch from Wellington yesterday. They arc staying at the United Service Hotel. Captain Tweedie, who accompanied the Vice-Regal party, is at the Christchurch Club. Yesterday morning their Excellencies attended the service at the Christchurch Cathedral, and last evening his Excellency unveiled tho scout and guide shrine at the new Linivood Methodist Church, - in his capacity as Dominion Chief Scout. This morning, at 10.30 o'clock, his Excellency will confer decorations upon members of the St. John Ambulance Association, at tho United Service Hotel, and at 11.10 their Excellencies will pay a visit to the Christchurch Technical College. At 3 p.m. his Excellency will visit a gathering of disabled ex-Servicemen at tho Jellicoe Hall, and at 3.45 p.m., accompanied by Lady Bledisloo, he will visit the Winter In tho evening tho Governor-General will attend the Southern Star Masonic Lodge, and her Excellency will attend a meeting of the Toe H Women Helpers' League. Colonel P. Clennell Fenwiek, Dominion Chief Scout Commissioner, Major W. E. S. Furby, Dominion Headquarters Commissioner, and Major J. W. Crampton, Acting Metropolitan Commissioner, mot their Excellencies on tho arrival of the ,ferry train at phristchurch yesterday morning.
