ACCIDENTS.
DRIVER INJURED. SNOWBALL BREAKS CAR WINDSCREEN. A snowball, thrown at a car on Dyer's Pass road yesterday afternoon, resulted in serious injuries to the driver of the car. The windscreen was smashed and Mr John Lamb, of 81 Dean street, St. Albans, was cut about the left eye and face with, broken glass, and was admitted to the * Christchurch Hospital. Last night his condition was reported to be satisfactory. FOOTBALLER INJURED. M. B; Mitchell, a single man, aged 23 years, of 218 Fitagerald avenue, was injured while, playing football at English Park on Saturday. He was treated as an out-patient at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged. CHILD DIES FROM INJURIES. (MESS ASBOCIATIOS TELEGRAM.)' WELLINGTON, August 7-. Ronald Emms, aged six, who was knocked down by a motor-car. in Tinakori road on Wednesday afternoon, died in the Public Hospitol yesterday. BOY RECEIVES FATAL INJURIES. (PCE3S ASSOCIATION TaLEOJUX.) HAMILTON, August 6: Fatal injuries were, sustained by Ernest Heatley, eight years of age, •when he- was knocked down by a motorcar in Sfcudholme street, MorrinsviUe, yesterday on his way home from school. The boy.is said to have hesitated in front of a car, and-then continued on/being Btraok by the front mudguard.
